We hold the present and future of our world within our circles of conversation
The Dialogue Group & The Enterprise Group Present
ESSENTIALS OF DIALOGUE
Creating Powerful Conversations
In our organizations and communities we are challenged by the constant change and complex environments and relationships we work with. We long for meaning and inspiration that ignites our passion for life and work. We seek new ways of working together that are more productive, satisfying and sustainable. Dialogue can help us meet these needs.
Dialogue is a generative communication discipline that heightens creativity and collective learning through the practice of suspending judgment, exploring assumptions, deep listening, open offering of perspectives, and engaging in inquiry and reflection. Over time dialogue provides an innovative and effective process to:
- work more effectively with whole systems and increasingly complex issues
- build an atmosphere of trust and collaborative partnership in which to take action
- create shared vision and commitment
- understand and realign core assumptions to improve strategic decision-making
- enhance creativity and problem-solving
Our goal is for you to integrate the skills and guidelines necessary to create and maintain a practice of meaningful dialogue in your life and work. We will engage you in an in-depth experience where you will learn how Dialogue functions to build trust, deepen our capacity for authentic and powerful conversation, and enhance wholeness and coherence within the life and work systems we inhabit.
During this highly interactive program we will explore:
- the history, principles, guidelines and skills of dialogue
- the dialogic state of being
- the role of reflection in learning and creativity
- a model for working with conflict and paradox
- how community is created through dialogue
- developing a skill set to be able to put dialogue to use right away
